Short bio

Edoardo is a Junior Researcher at EURAC’s Institute for Renewable Energy, in the Urban and Regional Energy Systems Group. He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and a Master’s in Public Policy and International Development from NOVA School of Business & Economics (Lisbon), where he also completed exchange semesters in Barcelona and Prague. During his master’s he developed modelling and policy-evaluation skills with a consistent focus on the renewable energy transition and energy communities, and took part in a study trip to Cape Verde working with local authorities on a sustainable development policy plan.

Since joining EURAC’s Institute for Renewable Energy in July 2024, Edoardo has been a member of the Engineering Energy Economics (EEE) team and has contributed to several local, national and European projects focused on public policy and economic aspects of the energy transition. He has expertise in the topic of Renewable Energy Communities and co-authored a handbook on cross-border energy communities funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO). Edoardo is actively involved in both the proposal and implementation phases of multiple EU-funded initiatives (e.g., LIFE-CET BetterLIFE, LIFE-CET ReLIFE, LIFE-CET PLANtoACT, LIFE-CET ASSERT and LIFE-CET OBSERVE) and supports local and national projects addressing decarbonisation challenges, primarily working on the development of policy roadmaps for heating and cooling (e.g., iNEST, CoolST).
