Immersive training for ALPIne rescue using NEuroscience and eXtended Reality technologies
The ALPINE-XR project addresses the growing challenge of training emergency medical personnel for complex alpine rescue scenarios in the Italy-Switzerland cross-border area.
Its main goal is to develop an immersive training system based on neuroscience, learning sciences, and extended reality (XR) technologies, combined with simulations in climate chambers.
This approach aims to make training more accessible, realistic, and effective, ultimately improving responders’ performance and rescue outcomes in high-risk alpine environments.
