EDP

The EDP platform provides  data and cloud services targeted to research activities in the fields of environmental monitoring and sensing technologies by following the FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability) data management principles proposed by the EU. It provides easy to use tools for accessing and analizing a vast amount of environmental data (sensor data, satellite imagery, basemaps, etc.) that is collected and published by different running projects and research activities. To access the platform services/functionalities a dedicated web-portal is available at the URL https://edp-portal.eurac.edu. 

The webportal consists of a search catalogue for quering and exploring the data contained in the platform, a processing environment based on the OpneEO API (OpenEO Editor) that allows a graphical way to process data, a high performant server environment for executing ready to use Python code Templates and documentation and code samples for how to access the data. 

The plaform consists also of multiple platform componentes and a dedicated virtualization cloud environment based on OpenNebula to host all running systems. The cloud environment provides also a self-provisioning portal that allows users to deploy comuting and storage resources.
