Pranav Deep Kumar

He is a PhD student in the Department of Energy at Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with Eurac Research and a visiting PhD student at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU). He holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, a Graduate in Marine Engineering, and M.Tech in Renewable Energy.

His research focuses on decarbonization of the power system and transport sector using open-source energy-system models. His work includes studies of the impact of smart charging and Vehicle-to-Grid strategies for Italy, EV flexibility value under battery degradation and price signals for Denmark, and the role of Power-to-X and e-fuels in decarbonizing heavy-duty transport.
