REFERRAL

REFERRAL researches the post-arrival trajectories of refugees in small-town and rural regions so as to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the factors that shape their decisions and abilities to settle post-arrival. It adopts a holistic, actor-centered approach to understand how structural factors, social networks, individual experiences and aspirations jointly shape staying trajectories. It develops this approach through multi-case study research in the provinces of Belluno and South Tyrol.
