The event is hosted by the Italian Political Science Association Standing Group on Gender and Politics as part of their Book Talks Spring 2026 series, a set of online events bringing together leading scholars to discuss recent research on feminist movements, minority rights, intersectionality, and LGBTQIA+ politics.

The event presents the edited volume Minority Women, Rights and Intersectionality: Agency, Power, and Participation, a collection that focuses on minority women through the perspectives of minority rights and intersectionality to investigate key concepts such as discrimination, inequality, agency, participation, resistance, and solidarity while also unpacking dynamics of power. After a brief introduction to the book by the Chair, three of the authors will present their chapters. A Q&A session will follow.
