What it is
The Roadmap for Climate Change Adaptation in Tourism is a guidance document developed within the ADAPTNOW project to support adaptation planning in the tourism sector. Led by Eurac Research, it builds on a participatory process carried out in the Puster Valley, where local stakeholders, tourism representatives, and experts worked together to identify relevant climate risks and feasible adaptation measures. The roadmap outlines how adaptation can be translated into practice, including key steps, responsibilities, and ways to involve different actors throughout planning and implementation.

Who it is for
The roadmap is primarily intended for local authorities, tourism stakeholders, destination managers, and practitioners involved in climate adaptation and regional planning. Beyond the Puster Valley, it is also relevant for other Alpine regions that want to apply a similar participatory and expert-based approach to strengthen tourism resilience.

The roadmap is available online through Eurac Research. It was developed as part of the ADAPTNOW project, which aimed to strengthen adaptive capacity in highly affected and exposed Alpine territories through more integrated, collaborative, and inclusive climate adaptation planning.

What it is
Adattamento ai cambiamenti climatici: come coinvolgere le comunità is a manual designed to guide local authorities step by step in involving communities in the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of climate adaptation strategies and plans. It presents participation not as a side activity, but as a core part of adaptation planning, encouraging a more collaborative and inclusive policy process in which different voices within the community can be heard and taken into account.

The guide is primarily intended for local authorities and related staff, including administrative personnel, technical offices, and political authorities. More broadly, it is relevant for practitioners and institutions working on local climate adaptation processes that require community engagement.
