Italy’s mammals
The Italian Congress of Theriology comes to Bolzano – alongside a photography exhibition
The exhibition at Eurac Research will feature photographs from a selection of the 54 images submitted from across Italy for the national “ATIt 2026 Photography Competition”, showcasing striking images of mammals living in Italy. The competition is promoted and organized by the Young Theriologists Network (CoGiT).
The images are divided into four categories – Eco-interactions, Camera Trapping, Urban Mammals, and Young Photographers – and were evaluated by a panel of renowned wildlife photographers: Marco Colombo, Matteo Luciani, and Paolo Taranto.
Here we present a selection from the exhibition which van be seen either at the Eurac Research headquarters or online at the 14th Italian Congress of Theriology website. The winners will be announced during the congress.
