Although the clinic’s staff recognize that certain groups – including older adults, individuals with disabilities, those with chronic conditions such as hypertension or diabetes, pregnant women, and people who have previously experienced altitude sickness – face a higher risk at high altitudes, its services are available to anyone who works, exercises, or takes part in recreational activities at altitude. With the support of its expert team, you can ensure your time at altitude is as safe and enjoyable as possible.
Mountain Clinic services are available privately and also through the public healthcare system. To access these services through the public system, a referral from your primary care physician or another healthcare provider within the system is needed. The clinic’s multidisciplinary team offer mountain medicine consultations and examinations from the cardiorespiratory to the neurological system. The clinic also performs diagnostic “hypoxia tests,” to quantify tolerance to high altitudes.
