The closed workshop brought together a selected group of international researchers and experts from multiple disciplines to discuss how complex and interconnected risks, such as those related to climate change, disasters, and societal transitions, can be better understood, modelled and managed.
The aim was to explore new conceptual frameworks and methodological approaches that can capture the systemic nature of today’s global risks and support more resilient decision-making.
While the event was not open to the public, its outcomes will feed into future collaborative research initiatives and publications, helping to advance a shared understanding of systemic risk and resilience at the science-policy interface.
