Land Use Land Cover Mapping in Burundi

Vulnerability analysis in Burundi is conducted at two levels: At the national level, the most vulnerable regions are identified and mapped. Finally, at the local level, local drivers of vulnerability and possible adaptation measures are identified. The vulnerability analysis focuses on water and soil resources.

The client is the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). Development project 'Adaptation au Changement Climatique pour la protection des ressources en Eau et Sol' (ACCES).

The methodology of the vulnerability analysis refers to the 'Vulnerability Sourcebook' co-produced by EURAC and follows standardized steps of vulnerability analysis.
