Laimburg Research Centre and Eurac Research introduce a pioneering initiative to establish an advanced Computational Multi-Omics Center tailored to the diverse needs of South Tyrol's local food, agriculture, health, and biotech sectors. This visionary project aims to form a dynamic team of bioinformatics experts committed to delivering comprehensive analytical services to local research institutions and companies. The core components of the proposed competence center encompass a high-performance computing cluster and storage infrastructure, acknowledging the computational demands of contemporary bioinformatics research. To enhance our local expertise, our service will tap into international data repositories, including the esteemed UK Biobank as well as the Global Natural Products Social Molecular Networking (GNPS) database and other relevant databases. Additionally, a comprehensive suite of bioinformatics software and tools, continuously updated to incorporate the latest advancements, will be at the disposal of researchers.
