Monitoring the Alpine Space

This project is the follow-up of the AGRALP-project. It continues the wide research activities carried out until now on alpine-wide level. Spatial monitoring respectively monitoring of previous and future developments in various thematic issues of the Alps are central aspects of this project. One core objective is to evaluate the results of the AGRALP-project. Studies already in progress, as for example the prognosis of the future agricultural development, will be further elaborated and innovative research questions will be integrated. With the subproject "Extended Alps" and basic spatial monitoring research results, the Institutes intends to scientifically contribute the debate on the Alpine Makroregion (EUSALP). The institute aims at a close collaboration with other institutes of Eurac. The project will be extended until 2017.
