Winter School

The “Winter School on Federalism and Governance" is a cross-border training programme within the Cooperation Agreement between Eurac Research and the University of Innsbruck (signed in 2007).

Since 2010, the postgraduate program is every year jointly organized by the Institute for Comparative Federalism and the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the the University of Innsbruck (Austria).

The program aims to combine applied research and academic teaching for both academics and practitioners with and interdisciplinary and comparative approach. The target group of the Winter School are max. 30 postgraduate students, young researchers and professionals as well as civil servants from local, regional and international government offices or NGOs studying or working in the field of federalism and governance and who wish to deepen their knowledge from a theoretical and practical approach.

The programme is a unique opportunity to be trained both on theoretical and practical aspects of federalism within an international learning environment. Beyond the umbrella topic, a main focus is chosen for every edition.
