THEMIS: an arTistic and researcH approach to raise awarEness about cliMate change that produces InequalitieS

Environmental justice advocates for equitable access to a clean and healthy environment for all individuals and communities. It ensures that everyone, regardless of race, color, national origin, or income, is treated fairly and has a meaningful role in creating, enforcing, and benefiting from environmental laws and policies. This project aims to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and art's ability to evoke emotions and trigger changes in values and behaviors to raise awareness about climate change and its ultimate consequences. By fusing these disciplines, we aim to create an immersive experience using augmented and extended reality to make conscious in the audience. To reach this goal, science will formulate hypotheses and provide data, while art will express sensitivity and care, creating empathy and promoting a better understanding of climate change's effects. Therefore, this multidisciplinary and intersectional approach will provide an innovative perspective to address environmental inequalities. By raising awareness, advocating for targeted policies, and promoting sustainable practices, we could create a more equitable and sustainable society. Ultimately, together, art and science can be a powerful force for positive change and a fairer future.
