High-level event in Odense to address Europe's clean energy competitiveness and emerging technologies
19th SET Plan Conference Returns to Denmark with Focus on Energy Innovation and Resilience
03.11.2025
The 19th edition of the Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan Conference will take place on November 4-5, 2025, in Odense, Denmark. Co-organized by the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities and the European Commission, the conference will convene high-level policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and academia to discuss the future of European energy technology.
Conference Key Themes Energy Resilience: Enhancing the role of critical energy technologies from a resilience perspective European Leadership: Facilitating joint European efforts across policy to support and advance European leadership in energy technology Competitiveness: Augmenting the strengths and competitiveness of the EU's clean energy technology sector
Among the featured sessions, "Emerging Energy Technologies" will explore strategies to foster innovation, overcome market barriers, and support the development of next-generation energy systems. This session addresses the significant challenge new energy technologies face when competing against established solutions.
Wolfram Sparber will participate in this session, presenting on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology. His presentation will address how e-mobility can enhance energy system stability, offering crucial insights into the strategic role of electric vehicles in the broader energy transition.
The Vehicle-to-Grid technology enables electric vehicles to not only consume energy but also return it to the grid during peak demand periods, transforming cars into mobile energy storage units that can support grid stability and renewable energy integration.
The SET Plan Conference serves as a key platform for shaping Europe's energy technology roadmap and fostering collaboration between public and private sectors in advancing the continent's clean energy goals.
