Thirty-six candidates competed for the available seats in the latest elections for the Steering Committee of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV). Among the six newly elected members: Grazia Barchi, senior researcher at the Institute for Renewable Energy of Eurac Research.
The election took place on 26 May 2026, during a hybrid Steering Committee meeting hosted by SolarPower Europe in Brussels, with results announced the following day at the EUPI-PV Conference. ETIP PV coordinates European strategy on photovoltaic research and innovation, serving as a bridge between the scientific community, industry, and European policymakers.
Through its Steering Committee, the platform defines research priorities, contributes to strategic agendas such as the SRIA PV, and supports Europe's goals for industrial leadership in solar energy.
Barchi's expertise at Eurac Research will inform her work within the committee, alongside peers from institutions including Fraunhofer ISE, TU Delft, CEA, and Oxford PV.
