INTEGRATES Kick off meeting in Bolzano

On the 5th and 6th of November, Eurac Research welcomed project partners to Bolzano for the two-day kick-off meeting of the Horizon Europe project INTEGRATES.

Each partner introduced their expertise and role, and the team explored how the project will deliver practical digital solutions for the construction sector, with a focus on supporting the digitalisation of SMEs. In particular, INTEGRATES will create a unified digital ecosystem that transforms how buildings are designed, constructed, operated, and managed throughout their entire lifecycle.

The meeting included presentations of all work packages and a detailed discussion of the next steps.

The project aims to:

• Develop a unified digital framework for building lifecycle data, bridging standards such as IFC, BRICK, and SAREF.
• Deliver six digital tools with AI-assisted workflows to reduce design and planning time.
• Validate solutions through four demonstration cases in different European regions and climates.

The kick-off was also an occasion for team building, and a discovery South Tyrolean culture with a traditional Törggelen evening.
