Credit: Eurac Research | Ludovica GaleazziThe project OPENFACE just released the online course Circularity Principles in Façade Engineering. This course will provide practical knowledge on circular strategies in façade design and sustainable building practices.
This course features Eurac Research experts Miren Juaristi Gutierrez, Leire Minguez Hilera, Martino Gubert, Riccardo Pinotti, Diego Tamburrini and Marzieh Zarei tackling with several aspects of circularity in façade engineering, to teach the next generation of façade designers what to consider to decrease the environmental impacts of buildings. The course features also shows the Circular Lab at Eurac Research, where researchers disassembled building facades to assess their end of life.
This is just one of the six courses produced by OPENFACE, an open online educational programme that aims to provide advanced knowledge on façade design and engineering. The project is financed by Erasmus+ and builds on the expertise of three leading European institutions in the world of façades: TU Delft, TU Darmstadt, and Eurac Research.
The 6 openly available online courses focusing each on different aspects of façades: detailing, materials, innovative facades, circularity. Students, lecturers, researchers, and professionals can find the resources on the project website: openface.world
