BEAT

PNRR Beat - Building Energy ATlas

The large-scale assessment of the energy performance of the existing building stock and its need for energy retrofitting requires the acquisition, harmonization, enrichment, and subsequent analysis of multiple pieces of information. The availability of the EPCs drafted and available so far provides only partial coverage of the building stock. A complete mapping requires a complex work of collecting, harmonizing, and merging detailed and accurate data regarding the characteristics of location, surface area, volume, function, structure, age, energy characteristics, etc., for each individual building. The BEAT project builds on methodologies, processes, and algorithms for spatial data analysis already developed by Eurac Research in various research projects, which constitute a system for assessing the energy performance of existing buildings. The expected result is the creation of a harmonized sample geodatabase (provision of metadata, data samples, and graphical data visualization service on a geoportal) of the building stock of the selected regions.
