Metabolomic Evaluation of Diet Influence on Cardiometabolic health by Reproductive stage
The proposed activity involves a 12-month outgoing mobility to implement the MEDICaRe pro-
ject, which undertakes an innovative analysis of metabolomics data to investigate the effects
of diet on metabolic health and cardiometabolic risk in women across different reproduc-
tive stages. In this project, two scientific entities will be involved: the Eurac Research Institute
for Biomedicine (IfB) in Bolzano, and The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Met-
abolic Research (CBMR) at the University of Copenhagen, one of the most competent
groups in nutritional epidemiology in Europe. The three pillars of the project, which characterize
its quality, originality, and innovative aspects are: precision nutrition and metabolomics, popu-
lation aging, and the gender gap in biomedical research.
