Fusion Grant SMARTAIR - Advanced Monitoring System for Thermo-Hygrometric Regulation of Indoor Air in Unheated Rooms)
The project develops an intelligent system for managing air quality in cellars, addressing the widespread issue of humidity and mold in South Tyrol. By using sensors that monitor temperature and relative humidity, an advanced algorithm determines when to activate ventilation, heating, and dehumidification, optimizing energy consumption. The system favors low-impact solutions, such as opening windows, before resorting to more energy-intensive devices. A dedicated software interface allows users to monitor environmental conditions and system operation in real time. This innovation improves the healthiness of cellars, making them usable and reducing maintenance costs, with benefits for the well-being of their occupants.
