Val Saviore: territorial innovation between tourism, services, and community
This technical and scientific consultancy project aims to support the Union of Municipalities of Val Saviore in defining new pathways for tourism and social development, by enhancing the area’s natural, cultural and social capital. The initiative addresses the key challenges facing marginal mountain areas, such as depopulation, an ageing population and the weakening of the socio-economic fabric.
The project involves an analysis of the territorial context, aimed at identifying critical issues and potential opportunities for revitalization, as well as the shared definition of a long-term strategic vision capable of guiding future initiatives. Within this framework, operational proposals will be co-developed to improve the quality of life of residents by strengthening the organization and accessibility of services of general interest, while simultaneously supporting the area’s tourism attractiveness. These actions are intended, in a synergistic way, to foster the revitalization of the territory and to activate new dynamics of local development.
The project adopts a participatory and interdisciplinary approach, integrating areas such as tourism, mobility, social innovation and territorial governance, and employs qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a particular focus on collective learning and the strengthening of local social capital.
