The role of Eurac Research
In this building, our researchers provided support in relation to thermo-hygrometric simulation to examine various solutions to the construction of the building envelope, analysis of the economic costs, thermo-hygrometric monitoring and analysis of interior comfort.
Implemented technologies
Insulation on the inner surfaces of the exterior walls, windows and doors substitution, heat pump with geothermal plant, installation of mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery, double-curled aluminum sheet covering of the roof with integrated mono-crystalline PV modules, micro wind turbines on the roof, complete restauration of the façade according to the input requirements of the heritage authority.
