EU ITA-AUT CRESCITA: Climate, Resilience, Sustainability, Skills, Innovation, Transition, Adaptation
CRESCITA is a cross-border project aimed at strengthening climate resilience in inner Alpine areas, which are particularly vulnerable to landslides, floods, droughts, and heatwaves. It develops innovative adaptation strategies inspired by existing experiences such as KLAR! and MountResilience.
The project is structured along two main axes: the Climate Adaptation Suite (CAS)—a set of digital and participatory tools for mapping vulnerabilities, planning interventions, and supporting post-event recovery—and the implementation of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) codesigned with local communities.
CRESCITA combines technology, co-design, and civic engagement through climate foresight labs, small-scale pilot actions, and a crossborder learning network. Solutions will be tested in selected pilot areas, with the aim of developing a replicable model for other Alpine regions.
CRESCITA fosters cooperation among citizens, local authorities, and institutions to address increasing climate impacts in a systemic and integrated way, building shared and transferable knowledge.
