The historic building located in the centre of the village is currently unused and is owned by the municipality. Future plans include a café on the ground floor and residential units on the upper floor. As part of the SUSMAT project, a partial renovation is planned, which includes the remediation of the walls in contact with the ground, the construction of a floor slab and the refurbishment of windows and doors. Sustainable, ecological and local materials will be used for the construction, which will be carried out by local companies.
Mesnerstadele, Mölten
The building, located in the centre of the village and previously used for agricultural purposes, is owned by the municipality and is currently unused. The upper floor is planned to be used as the headquarters of the ‘Dorfwerkstatt’ association, while the ground floor will be used for multiple purposes, in collaboration with the Fossil Village Museum and the Arunda sparkling wine cellar. The SUSMAT project involves partial renovation, with particular attention to strengthening the energy efficiency of the external wooden structure (beam structure and shingle roof), using sustainable, ecological and local materials and employing local craftsmen.
Gemeindeamt, Filzmoos
The municipal building is located in the centre of the village on Kirchbichl, next to the cemetery and parish church, and forms part of a historic ensemble together with the Gretlhäusl and the Pfarrhof. The building, which is around 300 years old, is owned by the municipality and is currently used as the town hall and administrative headquarters. The renovation work mainly concerns the badly deteriorated box windows, damp problems in the basement and the façade. The SUSMAT project involves partial renovation with a focus on the use of environmentally friendly materials, carried out by local companies.
