Fusion Grant AIchargeMAP - Artificial Intelligence for CHARGing station Expansion and Mapping Analysis Project
The AIchargeMAP project develops an innovative machine learning tool to strategically optimize the placement of electric vehicle charging stations across Northern Italy. By combining traffic data analysis, electric vehicle penetration modeling, and advanced AI algorithms, we create a comprehensive decision-support system for charging infrastructure expansion.
Our research leverages real-world data from NEOGY's charging network in South Tyrol, collected through the LifeAlps project, to train predictive models that can identify optimal locations for new charging stations. The tool considers factors such as traffic flows, competition analysis, and economic viability to provide actionable insights for infrastructure development.
