Climate Change Monitoring South Tyrol
The Climate Change Monitoring South Tyrol gathers and analyses selected indicators, examining the changes in climate and their effects in our region.
The monitoring and evaluation of CO₂ emissions play a crucial role in climate protection. Through decarbonisation measures – promoting energy efficiency, renewable energies, and reducing the consumption of fossil fuels – the region can make an important contribution to mitigating climate change. Moreover, these measures allow for a reduction in energy costs and a significant increase in added value for South Tyrol.
The combination of advanced technologies and changes in habits can help to develop sustainable solutions in transport, heating, industry, electricity, and other sectors.
The identification and evaluation of indicators are fundamental to measuring the progress of the measures established in the Climate Plan. These indicators provide information to understand how well South Tyrol is progressing towards its climate goals and where urgent intervention is required.
The continuous updating of Climate Plan monitoring makes it possible to closely follow these changes and develop targeted solutions to mitigate the impacts of climate change and adapt to them more effectively.
We thank the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, STA, ASTAT, Agenzia CasaClima, CISMA, and other institutions and individuals involved for providing data and support in interpretation and processing.
