A Knowledge-Based Framework for Climate Change Adaptation
The KNOW-ADAPT project aims to capitalise on existing and past CCA projects to develop a comprehensive, integrated conceptual and operational framework to capitalise on existing and past CCA-related projects at Eurac to identify common methods, knowledge gaps, and effective approaches. It will advance scientific understanding while providing common conceptual framework and guidelines to support future research and project proposals, thereby strengthening capacity building among Eurac researchers across diverse backgrounds, disciplines, and institutes. Precisely, it will:
- Review the main international research papers, CCA strategies and laws for identifying phases and social and governance dimensions that should be implemented in the CCA framework (WP1)
- Develop a comprehensive, scientific-grounded, integrated and operational CCA framework tailored to CCT research practices and aligned with CCT’s experiences and competences (WP2)
- Develop guidelines for Eurac researchers working on CCA. These guidelines will provide step-by-step instructions and reflective questions to make the framework practical, supporting future research (WP2)
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mutual learning through an internal training and dissemination (WP3)
