Biodiversity of cultivated species in the Puster Valley

The project "Pukuvi" aims at preserving genetic resources of cultivated species from the Puster Valley (on the South Tyrolean and East Tyrolean side) as well as the associated experiential knowledge. In cooperation with regional actors, a network of local conservators will be established, who will pass on this experiential knowledge. Information about cultivated species and the experiential knowledge will be made accessible by means of a database, species and conservator portraits, a booklet ("Vielfalter"), garden visits, a species exhibition, opportunities for seed exchange, excursions and the like. Additionally, sustainable techniques for the preservation of Pustertal cultural species will be communicated to specific target groups.
