Facts & Figures
^Reduction of primary energy consumption of heating energy generation system from pre to post renovation. In post-renovation, also electricity consumption for space cooling is included. Electricity generated by PV and self-consumed is accounted
^^Annual demand coverage of common electricity consumption, excluding single flats electricity consumptions and considering that the heat pump covers the 84% of the total building thermal load (heating)
The role of Eurac Research
Our researchers developed the concept of the Solar Window Block and tested the different SWB mockups (performance, component integration, functionality) in the PV integration Lab test infrastructure. They supported the development of the Renewable harvesting package to heat and ventilate and coordinated the implementation of technologies in the demo.
Implemented technologies
-
Solar Window Block (SWB) a prefabricated system composed by an insulating frame, a highly efficient timber-frame window, PV modules, automated shading and a decentralized ventilation machine
-
BIPV click&GO system (with composite PV modules and glass-glass appealing PV modules)
-
Renewable harvesting package to heat and ventilate (with Solarwall integration)
