The role of Eurac Research
As part of the SINFONIA project, Eurac Research coordinates the activities relevant to the Bolzano district. In this building our researchers have provided support in relation to the insulation interventions, analysis of the solar potential for the installation of thermal and photovoltaic panels on the roof, district heating simulations, post-refurbishment energy consumption monitoring.
Implemented technologies
Insulation of the entire envelope, facades and floors, solar thermal and photovoltaic panels on the roof, decentralized controlled ventilation system (with heat recovery), replacement of gas-fired boilers by sub-district heating plant connected to the grid
